Planning a wedding can be as simple or as involved as you wish to make it. After the date and venue for your wedding day, the stationery is usually one of the earlier decisions you have to make. It is important to make the right choice as the stationery will be the first thing most of your guests will see in connection with your big day, and so sets the tone for the proceedings. Your choice of design will, of course, primarily reflect your taste, though you should consider such factors as level of formality, whether you keep to a theme you may have in mind, and importantly your budget- it is easy to get carried away when you see a beautiful design and order everything in the range! The usual range of stationery I offer is detailed below, although if you have something else in mind, just ask. Save the Date Cards. These are becoming an increasingly popular way to let your guests know of your impending nuptials. It is a good idea to send these out as soon as you have a date to avoid disappointments. They usually take the form of a small card with a brief note to announce the wedding and the date, sometimes the venue, and to say how much you would like the guest to attend. Invitations, Day & Evening The real introduction to your wedding! Your guests will begin to share in your excitement when they open their invitation. I can also produce professionally presented insert sheets with all the information you wish to provide your guests with. Acceptance Cards Some couples insert these into the invitations for their guests to return. Others prefer not to and receive a wide variety of acceptance cards from their guests. They are usually in postcard format but sometimes have a stamped, addressed envelope with them*. Thank You Cards Often, couples wish to include their notes of thanks in their order. These can either be provided blank for you to hand-write, or printed or hand-written (depending on your design) with wording you provide. Orders of Service These continue your theme through the service to your reception and provide your guests with a keepsake of the ceremony. Table Plan, Place Cards and Menus All in keeping with your own unique range, creating a wonderfully pleasing effect during the wedding breakfast. Guest Books & Keepsake Boxes Also to match the rest of your range, I produce guest books using hard-back books of high quality paper and keepsake boxes of all sizes using strong materials to keep your treasured mementoes protected for years to come. Favour Boxes These can be simple or intricate, made of the same card used for your invitations or a card that complements them or that matches the rest of your table settings. Seal (wax) A stylish and romantic touch can be added with genuine wax sealing of your envelopes, this can also include a tab of ribbon under the wax for ease of opening. You may have found a seal you wish me to use, or alternatively, I can design and make one for you, the seal will be yours to keep and I will endeavour to source wax of a colour in keeping with the rest of your range. *The cost of postage stamps is not included in any quote given although I am happy to stamp and post the stationery if the cost of postage is added to the order. I do not include postage charges on quotes because a proportion of your stationery may be hand-delivered but still wax-sealed. As a relative newly-wed myself, I know that there are many, many things to manage when organising your wedding and it can get a little hectic at times. You can be confident that once proof-reading is finished and the order agreed, your Felis Designs stationery will all be ready in plenty of time and that you and your guests will love it. This leaves you free to savour the rest of your experience, from finding your wedding dress and suit, choosing bridesmaids and best man to writing your wedding vows and booking your honeymoon- enjoy it all, it passes by surprisingly quickly! |
